Lateral Project Management is an award winning Australian-owned Defence Industry professional services consultancy supporting above-the-line Defence acquisition projects and sustainment activities through the Defence Support Services (DSS) Panel and Major Services Providers (MSPs).
The Lateral team supports Defence and CASG Projects to procure, deliver and transition capability into service.
Lateral’s, Director, Peter Murphy has been recognised by the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) Head of Aerospace, with a Silver Commendation for his exceptional project management and facilities management. Lateral delivers Facility and Project Management Services to the Air Combat and Electronic Attack Systems Program Office (ACEASPO), Department of Defence. ACEASPO are the Capability Managers and Program Managers of the Growler and Super Hornet Programs.

Managing Director and Founder
Peter Murphy is the Managing Director and Founder of Lateral. Peter has deep capability and a vast variety of project and construction experience.
Peter has over 35 year’ experience working in a vast array of public and private corporate settings. His diverse range of project/ program director experience includes a significant portfolio of urban, rural and remote work, in a vast variety of sectors.
Cassie Murphy
Director
Cassie Murphy is the Finance and Business Administration Director.
Cassie is an effective and enthusiastic Manager and brings 30 years of project management, finance and administration skills to Lateral.

ACKNOWLEDGEMENT OF ARTIST
Lateral’s logo and artwork was created by Annette Kennedy who is Cassie’s cousin. Annette is a proud Wiradjuri woman and was raised with the knowledge of who she was and where she came from with many ties to country and family.
Lateral’s logo and artwork is about Aboriginal Wiradjuri women and their basket weaving. The colours represent the colours of the grasses and the reeds used for the weaving baskets, dilly bags and fish traps to name a few. The coloured strips outside the weave circles represent the grasses and reeds used in the weaving process.
The artwork featured on Lateral’s website is used under a licensing agreement and with the permission of artist. It should not be replicated or used for another purpose without prior consent from the artist.
